NUMS Registration Schedule For MDCAT 2020

The National University of Medical Sciences NUMS has declared the registration schedule for NUMS MDCAT & Aptitude test 2020. MDCAT 2020 is mandatory for all those students who want to get admitted in the colleges/universities affiliated with NUMS in MBBS or BDS.

NUMS MDCAT 2020 will be held on October 11, 2020, at 10 am. The students must reach their allocated centers at least two hours before the start of the test on 11th October 2020 by 08 00 AM.

On the test day, the centers will be completely closed at 09:30 am. The candidates can choose any of the cities to have appeared in the entrance test.

Registration schedule 2020 for NUMS MDCAT and Aptitude Test

For online registration regarding NUMS MDCAT & Aptitude Test schedule is given as:

Starting date for Online: 28 August 2020

End date of Online Registration: 11 September 2020

NUMS (National University of Medical Sciences) will conduct the Medical Entrance Test for  MBBS/BDS programs admissions in affiliated Public and Private Sector Medical / Dental colleges/Institutions for session 2020, 21, on Sunday, 11th October 2020 at 10:00 A.M. Entry test fees is Rs. 3000/- A. Students must follow all Government SOPs on test day.

Candidates are advised to download the roll number slips for the MDCAT entrance test from 5th October 2020 onwards from the NUMS MDCAT portal by entering CNIC, password/NICOP/Form B number.

For admission in MBBS and BDS in the given universities it is compulsory to pass the NUMS MDCAT & Aptitude test:

  3. HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences, Taxila Cantt
  4. CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences, Multan Cantt
  5. Wah Medical College, Wah Cantt
  6. CMH Institute of Medical Sciences, Bahawalpur Cantt
  7. CMH Kharian Medical College, Kharian Cantt
  8. Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences, Malir Cantt
  9. Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences, Quetta Cantt

Centers | NUMS MDCAT & Aptitude test 2020

It will be organized at the same time in the following cities:-

  • Islamabad
  • Rawalpindi
  • Jhelum
  • Mangla
  • Kharian
  • Gujranwala
  • Sargodha
  • Lahore
  • Multan
  • Bahawalpur
  • Karachi
  • Hyderabad
  • Pano Aqil
  • Abbottabad
  • Peshawar
  • D.I.Khan
  • Muzaffarabad
  • Quetta

Candidates are advised to choose 2 of the above-mentioned cities for the test according to their preference, however, the university has the right to shift any student to another nearest city based on the seating capacity.

Eligibility Criteria for NUMS MDCAT 2020

Minimum 65% marks are required in intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical Group or Equivalent Examination (e.g., 12th Grade, A-Level, etc.). However, result-awaiting students are also eligible to apply.

Mere appearance in NUMS MDCAT does not give the right to apply for or claim.

The candidates can take the syllabus of the NUMS MDCAT 2020 from the NUMS website. They are advised to prepare for the test according to this syllabus from their textbooks.

NUMS MDCAT 2020 Pattern

NUMS MDCAT will consist of a single question paper including 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into the following four (04) sections:

  • Biology =80 MCQs,
  • Chemistry = 60 MCQs,
  • Physics =40 MCQs and
  • English=20 MCQs

The test duration will be 150 minutes (02 hours & 30 minutes) and the total marks will be 200.

Negative marking will not be applied

After the 150 minutes of MDCAT, students will also take a 30 minutes aptitude test. It is compulsory but without any effect on the order of merit.
