National MDCAT By Pakistan Medical Commission

Pakistan Medical Commission has announced to cancel all MDCAT entry tests for admissions in medical and dental colleges across the country.

It is decided now to conduct a single entry test ‘National MDCAT’ by Pakistan Medical Commission which will be considered valid for admission to any medical or dental college in the country.

The date of PMC National MDCAT 2020 will be announced in PMC meeting on October 2, 2020. PMC has also declared that the admission criteria and eligibility criteria for MBBS and BDS Admission might be changed.

The new syllabus of National MDCAT is expected and will be issued by PMC as provinces follow the different syllabus for intermediate exams.

It has been confirmed that a minimum 50% weightage of the entry test will be in the merit formula. However, this weightage will not be decreased but may be increased.

PMC also declared from its official Twitter handler that NUMS MDCAT is postponed, however, there is no such confirmed news from NUMS website.
