Public and Private Schools Closed in Punjab

Punjab Government has reported closing all Public and Private schools in the province of Punjab from 6 September to 11 September 2021. Schools will be shut from September 6 to September 11, 2021, due to COVID-19  current. 4th Wave of coronavirus is on the rise and new limitations are being implemented.

Dr. Murad Raas, Minister for School Education declared the decision today. He tweeted yesterday through his official Twitter handler. Raas also requested the people to stay home and stay safe. He further stated that people protect themselves and their families. Schools will resume on Monday, September 13, 2021. 

As the new COVID-19 variants are more deadly and dangerous, NCOC has provided guidelines for all the provinces to limit the spread of the virus. KP Government has also forced restrictions in 9 districts. Only 50% of students are permitted to attend school on alternative days.
